What Is the Affordable Connectivity Program?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. federal initiative to provide financial assistance to low-income households for internet access. The program helps eligible families afford broadband services and connected devices for work, school, healthcare, and other essential online resources.
 

The ACP offers: 

  • Up to $30 on internet services ($75 for eligible households on qualifying Tribal lands).
  • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop, or tablet. With a copayment of over $10 but less than $50. 
 

Eligible households include those with an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, participating in specific assistance programs like SNAP, Medicaid, or Lifeline, receiving benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or school breakfast program, or meeting other eligibility criteria.

Who Is Eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program?

To be eligible for household assistance, at least one member of the household must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Have an income equal to or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
  • Participate in specific assistance programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline.
  • Participate in Tribal particular programs such as Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribal TANF, or Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations.
  • Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch or School Breakfast Programs, including at U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Community Eligibility Provision schools.
  • Have received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year.
 

How Long Will It Take To Receive Approval With Whoop Connect?

Typically, an application takes 20-30 minutes to get approved. However, certain applications may have to wait 3-4 days or more for approval due to the need to reconfirm proof documentation. Is There a Contract or Monthly Bill With Whoop Connect?
